CAS Registration is no longer required for the majority of berkeley.edu sites hosted on Pantheon. The only time you need to do a CAS registration is if:
- You need to support non-standard CAS Authorizations. View the standard authorizations on the CalNet site.
- Your application needs non-standard CAS attributes. The standard set is uid, berkeleyEduAffiliations, berkeleyEduIsMemberOf. View more information on non-standard CAS attributes on the CalNet site.
If your site requires a CAS registration, we recommend registering new sites as soon as you have decided what your permanent domain will be. For sites moving to Pantheon, we recommend that you register before you fill out the offsite hosting request form.
To register, fill out the CAS Registration Form (Single Sign-on Integration > Add Single Sign-on).
You will have to update your CAS module configuration to point to the production CAS server (auth.berkeley.edu) in your live environment. If you clone your live database to the test or dev environment, the best practice is to change the CAS module configuration to point to the test CAS server (auth-test.berkeley.edu).
